DIY: Beachy Tank

I bought a 3-pack of men’s undershirts last week and have been having fun with them. For my first project I made myself this super easy tank top. I love it! I was inspired by this adorable Vans tank, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. It’s perfect with a bright tank underneath and shorts. I used a screw driver to make the holes throughout the bottom, not gonna lie, it took a long time, but I love the look of it.

Here’s what you need:

A men’s undershirt

Scissors

A needle and thread

Step One: Cut off the sleeves of your shirt

Step Two: Refold your shirt so that the sleeve is in the center and cut along the bottom, cutting at a slight angle so you get a little more length in the back.

Step Three: Cut directly down the center

Step Four: Cut out a hole for your neck. I left about and inch and a half for strap width, because it will roll on itself.

Step Five: Sew your center seam back together facing out, using an overcast stitch.

Voila. I used a screw driver to poke holes in the bottom of mine, but you can do really anything to yours :)
