One Step Drawing Board Frame

I get really excited a lot of times and end up buying posters or prints that are not standard size. It kinda sucks. After taking into consideration the cost of ordering a custom frame made or buying a standard frame and getting custom matting, I usually decide it’s not worth it and they go into storage.

A few months ago I found this drawing board in the back of my closet and decided it would be perfect for those random size posters I have laying around. They cost about $10, so you really can’t beat it. Plus I love the way it adds visual interest to my wall.

All I had to do was hang it and I was good to go.

 

Fave Trend: Denim Vests

Right now I can’t help but obsess over this trend. Feminine dresses make me uncomfortable. Why?  I don’t know. I like them. I would like to wear them, but once I put it on, I feel like an impostor. This is where the denim vest comes in. It gives an edge to the the more girly looks that I like. I love the look of something very flowy with the denim vest. It seems to dress it down and make the flow more prominent all at the same time.

Office Inspiration Part Duex

I have spent the past few days, ripping apart my office and slowly putting it back together. Paper work has been shredded, floors have been cleaned, now it’s a matter of putting everything back in it’s place. I haven’t exactly decided how I’m going to do that yet, but it’s pretty close.

I’ve been really inspired by spaces that feel creative, industrial, yet, both clean and warm. Time to get back to work.

Office Inspiration

Creating an ideal workspace is something my husband and I get really excited about. This is probably due to that fact the we spend so much time in ours. Like an unhealthy amount of time. One of our challenges was trying to find a layout that comfortably fit two of us. We converted our dining room into a home office, so we are working with an unconventional space.

Also, how adorable are these Moonrise Kingdom posters by Ibraheem Youssef! I think I might need one for his side of the office and one for mine.

Neon and Peonies

Yesterday I had such a wonderful day. I stopped by Salvation Army and picked up a vintage Hawaiian ashtray for $.89. I’m not a smoker, but I couldn’t pass on it. I have an addiction to knick-knacks and hawaiiana. I also stopped by Trader Joe’s stocked up on yummy goodies and bought myself some peonies. I’m trying to keep more flowers in the house, they are just so pretty to look at so, I’m always in a good mood. I also wore very blatant neon yesterday. I was unsure at first, but I looked so tan, I didn’t care.

On another note, I recently bought a new dog bed for my puppies and I couldn’t be more thrilled! My dog have eaten through three bed since November. THREE! I still have stuffing under couch pillows and in corners. It’s horrible. So, I bought a dog bed duvet and insert from Molly Mutt. Basically, what you do is stuff a lining bag with old clothes and towels and then stuff that into a dog bed cover. They are super cute and affordable and such a good idea! I might be obsessed.
